I'm a wife of a diplomat, mom of two young boys. We're currently based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
We're European expats in the Middle East, and here you can read about our experiences in a country that's currently experiencing a huge cultural shift as part of a modernisation initiative.
I created this site to keep a record of the highlights of our weeks spent in this magical place we will call home for the next four years.
For the better part of the last decade we have called London home. Then a year ago, Husband got a fantastic opportunity to train as a diplomat, and now we're here. It's not the first time living abroad for us, but it was our first big move as a family and I'm keen to document our journey.
Neither of us lived in the Middle East before, so we’re really excited about getting to know this fascinating country we will be calling home for the next four years.
